Gamesa India has won a 30 MW wind power project with PTC Energy, a subsidiary of PTC India – a leading power trading company at Jaora in Madhya Pradesh.
Under this contract, Gamesa will develop the entire infrastructure needed to operate the project with the supply, erection and commissioning of 15 units of G97-2.0 MW T104 wind turbines specially designed for low wind sites in India. Gamesa will also provide operations and maintenance agreement to ensure smooth functioning of the wind farm.
This project due to be commissioned by March 2016 is a part of Gamesa India’s order book for the fourth quarter of 2015.
Gamesa has been betting big in India. The wind company recently also forayed into solar segment.
Following a the winning of a major solar contract in Honduras recently the company won a new solar order of 23 MW from New Era Enviro Ventures for commissioning in the state of Telangana.
In another solar deal, the company recently commissioned a solar project in Tamil Nadu and marks Gamesa’s maiden solar venture in Telangana. It is also the first contract from New Era Enviro Ventures, Gamesa said.
