Greentech Lead America: Green Energy Renewable
Solutions, a developer and operator of municipal solid waste and construction
and demolition waste processing and recycling facilities, has signed a long
term contract with Disposal Specialties of Birmingham, Michigan.
As per the agreement, Disposal Specialties will supply up
to 1,000 tons of construction and demolition waste per day for recycling
operations at Green Energy’s Highland Park, Michigan facility.
“The Detroit Metro market is producing an average of
over 10,000 tons of construction and demolition material daily. This long term
contract guarantees us a steady stream of material to process and recover
valuable materials and is the key to allowing us to execute on our business
model. Disposal Specialties, has over 40 years experience in the C&D
disposal business and we are confident they will make a great partner,”
said Joe DuRant, CEO of Green Energy.
Green Energy will process the incoming waste to recover
and process valuable recyclable materials for re-introduction to the
manufacturing stream. The company operates with long-term supply agreements to
process waste materials into valuable recyclables and reduce waste volume going
into landfills by up to 85 percent.
