Newell Recycling of Georgia, a metal recycling company, has completed the merger with Blaze Recycling & Metals, which provides metal recycling services companies in the Southeast.
Following the merger, the new entity is named Newell Recycling Southeast.
Operating 22 facilities in Georgia and Alabama, Newell Recycling is one of the largest metal recyclers in the Southeastern United States.
Norcross, Ga.-based Blaze Recycling & Metals is a leading metal recycling provider in the Southeast. The company operates eight scrap yards in Georgia and Alabama, including one high-capacity shredder in Lawrenceville, Ga.
Commenting on this development, Sharon Newell Shirley, CEO of Newell Recycling of Georgia, earlier said, “This combination will strengthen and improve our ability to be the best service provider to our upstream and downstream customers and will improve the efficiency of our operations.”
According to Shirley the combined geographic breadth of our 22 facilities, significant logistics savings, efficiencies from specializing their assets will help the customers in Southeastern region.
