Photovoltaic solutions provider Trina Solar has supplied its product, the Trinasmart PV modules of 6.9 MW capacity, to UK-based energy efficiency solutions company Anesco. The modules have been installed at the ground mounted solar farm Anesco commissioned earlier this month.
Trinasmart technology optimizes system performance by up to 20 per cent and comes with a built-in monitoring module.
The technology allows monitoring and control of the PV array at the module level rather than at inverter level compared with traditional modules, the company has stated.
Ben Hill, the president for Europe and Africa at Trina Solar, said: “It is this kind of innovation which keeps both our organisations ahead of the game which is vital in the fast changing solar PV sector.”
Trina Solar had chalked out plans to spend $250 million-$300 million on its manufacturing business and about $1.1 billion on the downstream or power plants business in 2015.
Also, the company expects to add 500 MW of cell and 800 MW of panel production capacity this year in South East Asia, India and South America to help bypass the anti-dumping duties.
