Yingli Solar achieves 10GW module capacity milestone

Yingli Solar announced that the Company has exceeded 10 GW of cumulative solar module deliveries worldwide.
The company marked this remarkable milestone on June 30th, 2014.

The annually generated power from Yingli’s entire fleet can power around four million homes, equivalent to nearly one fifth of China’s total residential power consumption in 2013.

The modules will offset 6.8 million tons of carbon emissions annually, equivalent to planting around 340 million trees.

“We are grateful to our customers, business partners, and employees around the globe without whom we could not have reached this milestone. With this achievement, we are one step closer to achieving our mission of providing affordable green energy for all,” said Liansheng Miao, chairman, CEO, Yingli Green Energy.

The company has to continue focus on technological innovation and operations optimization, with the goal of worldwide solar PV expansion, said Bryan Li, executive director, chief strategy officer, Yingli Green Energy.

The company needs to remain in top position in the global clean energy movement by continuing delivery of pioneering products and services, added Li.

So far, Yingli Solar has delivered more than 40 million solar PV modules to over 50 countries and regions worldwide.

They are installed in a wide range of systems including popular projects like FIFA World Cup stadiums and Qinghai Golmud Solar Park.
