Technology companies such as LONGi, Trina Storage, MN8 Energy, among others, announced their latest solar news in the solar power industry.

LONGi supplies Hi-MO7 modules

LONGi, a provider of solar wafer and module manufacturer, will deliver over 58,000 Hi-MO 7 modules for a project at Athens International Airport in Greece.

The bifacial Hi-MO 7 modules have a conversion efficiency of up to 22.6 percent and use a mono hybrid passivated dual-junction cell. They perform well in temperature fluctuation, making them suitable for the region’s high heat, the company said. Their design and packaging also reduce balance of system (BOS) costs, according to the company.

Trina Storage Showcases Expertise in Solar-Storage Integration

Trinasolar, a provider of solar power solutions, hosted a visit to a 150MW agrivoltaics and aquavoltaic project with industry partners. This project combines aquaculture and solar power, using Trinasolar’s 210 Vertex series modules. Completed in two phases, it includes a 27MW/54MWh liquid-cooled battery energy storage system (BESS), Trina Storage Elementa, in Phase II. The project shows how solar and storage work together, setting a new industry standard.

MN8 Energy Completes Rhode Island’s Largest Solar Projects

MN8 Energy, a provider of renewable energy solutions and related services, announced the completion of the Dry Bridge Solar facility, a step toward Brown University’s goal of achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2040.

The Dry Bridge Solar facility, with a capacity of about 40 Megawatts (MW) AC, is located on a rehabilitated brownfield site in North Kingstown, previously used for gravel and sand extraction. The project comprises four solar installations, each with a 10 MW AC capacity, designed to maximize efficiency and minimize land use impacts.
