RAYZON Solar and Caelux Corporation have announced a five-year, 5 GW partnership to manufacture next-generation Hybrid Tandem perovskite-plus-silicon solar modules in India.
The collaboration will integrate Caelux’s energy-producing perovskite solar glass with RAYZON Solar’s advanced TOPCon technology to deliver 28 percent efficient solar modules, with commercial volumes expected by 2028.
The partnership combines Caelux’s perovskite energy-producing glass, which replaces conventional module top glass with a second electricity-generating layer, with RAYZON Solar’s large-scale manufacturing platform. The Hybrid Tandem architecture is designed to deliver significantly higher power density than conventional silicon-only solar modules, enabling greater electricity generation from the same installation area.
RAYZON Solar will leverage its 11.3 GW bifacial solar module manufacturing platform to produce the high-efficiency modules. The company currently operates an 11.31 GW annual ALMM-listed module manufacturing capacity across facilities in Kim and Kosamba, Surat, while also commissioning a 5.1 GW TOPCon solar cell manufacturing plant to strengthen its vertically integrated manufacturing ecosystem.
The companies are already collaborating on early deployments, with commercial production targeted for 2028. The modules are expected to qualify for India’s government-tendered utility-scale solar projects, helping expand domestic manufacturing under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) policies, including the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme and Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) requirements.
The partnership aligns with India’s target of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel power capacity by 2030. Caelux said its proprietary technology can increase module energy density by up to 30 percent while reducing the levelized cost of electricity (LCOE) by 20 percent or more, making solar projects more efficient and cost-effective.
RAYZON Solar’s portfolio includes L’LIOS N-Type TOPCon bifacial modules developed through research collaboration with the University of New South Wales (UNSW). The company is a participant in the United Nations Global Compact, holds an EcoVadis Silver Rating, has published Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for its module portfolio, and has received the CII Performance Excellence Award 2026 and ELLE Sustainability Awards 2025. The latest partnership further strengthens India’s position as a global hub for advanced solar manufacturing and next-generation perovskite technology.
