Oxford Recycling, providers in recycled construction materials has selected Clean Energy Direct, solar EPC contractor to install and support 350kW PV solar system to produce electricity for its recycling operations. Clean Energy Direct is a Denver based firm.

Oxford Recycling has purchased this landfill site in 1979, with a purpose of renewable energy development options. This reclaimed land is now utilized to produce a re-purposed, reclaimed product.

The solar arrays will generate 490,286,912 kWh of solar energy in a year for the operations, or enough to power 70 homes.

John Kent, President, Oxford Recycling, said, “By adding solar technology to the operations enhances the goal of preserving natural resources and environment. An acre of company’s operating facility has been provided for solar services knowing that it will pay for itself in future in both energy savings and environmental benefits”.

Mark Clifton, director, Clean Energy Direct, said, “This project with Oxford Recycling helps them fulfil their vision and ours of supporting projects with environmental benefits like energy offset and constructive land use. Proven components are used, assembled to a site-specific engineering so that system can efficiently perform in future.”
