Lim Solar comes up with $ 1.1-M solar power plant in Quezon City

Lim Solar, a provider of solar technology and services, is investing $ 1.1 million for installing a solar power plant in capitol compound province, Quezon City. The power plant is estimated to supply 380KW of electricity.

Lim Solar Philippines Ventures, developer and installer of alternative energy solution, has already forwarded a formal contract to the administration of Quezon City.

Lim Solar will facilitate the design, construction and installation of the photovoltaic power plant. Once the funding is approved, government will pay in advance 35 percent of the total project under the Contract of Proposed Energy System Sales and Installation.

The amount US$461,680.00 or 40 percent of the total cost will be accumulated by issuing purchase of hardware materials. Once the project is installed properly another 15 percent will be paid. Remaining balance will be recovered during the operational period of the system.

The project is estimated to complete in four months.

The proposal comes attached with certain conditions regarding delay of work from contractor’s part and unavailability of materials. The proposal clearly states that building roofs should be in good condition. The contractor will not be liable for any damage during installation process. In case of any additional works like restoring, government will be responsible for paying the company.

Anyway, officials noted that company proposal lacks a detailed draft. It is evident from the agreement that Lim Solar will only be responsible for the installation and operational works will be undertaken by the government.
