JinkoSolar signs 200 MW PV project in China

JinkoSolar has signed a PV project development agreement with the government of Shicheng County of Jiangxi Province to develop 200MW PV power plant, with an investment amount of RMB1.6 billion.

The PV power plant will be constructed in four phases in four years in Zhuokeng and Fengshan villages, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province. The first phase of construction will begin in early 2015.

The plant is expected to generate approximately 240 million kWh of electricity every year, yielding RMB288 million of revenue.

The project will receive a national subsidy of RMB1/kWh and a provincial level subsidy of RMB0.2/kWh for 20 years.

The project will be a great success as company leverage the local government’s support and willingness to build clean energy infrastructure and the high quality PV products and industry leading capabilities in PV power plant development. This project will enable company to expand the clean energy generation capacities and grow shareholders’ value, commented, Xiande Li, chairman, JinkoSolar.

In a recent development, JinkoSolar has announced that it will supply 21.5MW PV solar modules for the construction of the Searchlight solar project located near Searchlight, NV.

The project was acquired by an affiliate of D. E. Shaw Renewable Investments (DESRI) and Bright Plain Renewable Energy (BPRE) from American Capital Energy, responsible for the initial project development.
