JinkoSolar installs 100MW Solar PV Project in Eastern China

JinkoSolar has announced that its 100 MW solar PV power plant in Xiangshui, Jiangsu Province was connected to the grid.

So far, the company has connected for more than 300 MW of PV projects to the grid.

The construction for the project began in April and was connected to the grid in September.

The project was built on top of a 2 million square meter fish pond located in the coastal economic development zone in Xiangshui, Yancheng City without occupying any farm land.

It counts among the largest Solar PV projects connected to the grid in Jiangsu Province with highest boosting level in China.

The power plant has been granted a 20-year subsidy of 1.0 RMB/KWh.

The Xiangshui project is a landmark ground-mounted solar PV project in Eastern China with its efficient use of land along with fish farming and solar power generation, which is in-line with the National Energy Administration’s new policy, commented, Xiande Li, chairman, JinkoSolar.

China government aims to promote favorable policies and subsidies for renewable energy resources which can create new opportunities during the second half of 2014.

In a recent initiative, JinkoSolar Power has signed project investment agreements with Hengfeng County government in Jiangxi Province for the development of 100 MW PV projects.

Jinko Power will hold the responsibilities like ownership, investment management, EPC and operations and maintenance.
