Global solar mounting solution leader, Antaisolar, has announced a groundbreaking partnership with Central Asia’s premier EPC contractor, Enter Engineering, by signing a monumental 470MWp Solar Tracking System Supply contract.

The signing ceremony, attended by key representatives including Gabriel William Wong, Vice President of Antaisolar, Arabin Lama, General Manager of APAC, and Enter Engineering delegates, marks a pivotal moment in the region’s renewable energy landscape. The project, projected to culminate in December 2023, promises to be Antaisolar’s most expansive solar tracker initiative in Central Asia.

Set to unleash approximately 600 million kilowatt-hours of pristine electricity annually, the project’s impact is far-reaching, aiming to curtail annual carbon dioxide emissions by a staggering 600,000 tons. This endeavor not only amplifies local renewable energy development but also spearheads a transition towards an upgraded energy matrix within the region.

The project hinges on the implementation of Antaisolar’s slew-drive single-axis 1P Independent Tracking System, aptly named TAI-Simple. Garnering acclaim for its capability to elevate power generation by an impressive 18.5-24 percent, TAI-Simple has demonstrated its prowess by enduring rigorous tests at the esteemed CPP wind tunnel laboratory.

Designed meticulously in accordance with meticulous wind tunnel data, the system effectively tackles instability issues while ensuring the operational safety of the power plant even under the harshest wind and snow conditions. Moreover, TAI-Simple seamlessly accommodates large-size bifacial modules and accommodates significant tracking angles, thus synergistically amplifying power generation efficiency while simultaneously minimizing operational costs.

Uzbekistan’s abundant solar resources render it an ideal solar energy contender. The nation’s strategic response to global climate change and economic advancement has spurred the growth of its new energy sector.

The ambitious goal of elevating the share of renewable energy in the power generation sector to 25 percent by 2026 further cements its reputation as an emerging photovoltaic market brimming with potential. Consequently, Uzbekistan has attracted the attention of global PV investors and developers keen on capitalizing on its promising landscape.

The groundbreaking collaboration between Antaisolar and Enter Engineering serves as a testament to the drive for sustainable energy progress and underscores Central Asia’s growing importance in the global renewable energy dialogue.
