By Greentech Lead America: Metadigm Services, a utility
services company specializing in Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI)
services, has been selected by La Plata Electric Utility (LPEA) to install
advanced new meters and for the upgrades of services to LPEA
customers.
“Metadigm Services leverages a national breadth of
perspective on smart grid implementation and their proven attention to customer
service and safety are the kinds of qualities we look for in a partner,” said
Greg Munro, CEO, LPEA.
LPEA’s 40,000 members have expressed interest in pre-paid
utilities and seasonal disconnects for vacation properties. LPEA joins the
ranks of forward thinking utilities like Xcel Colorado and Colorado Springs
Utilities that are harnessing the benefits of smart grid technologies for
members.
“With our new Dallas regional headquarters and
warehouse, we recently expanded our support for our customers throughout the
southwest,” Robert Shively, CEO of Metadigm Services.
Metadigm is also currently expanding operations in the
Pacific Northwest, continuing a trend of western expansion. Metadigm is engaged
by two other utilities in the region on similar projects, Concho Valley and
Oncor.
