GridPoint enables cost savings in retail sectors with data-driven approach to energy management

Greentech Lead America: GridPoint, a
provider of data-driven solutions for achieving sustained, significant energy
and operational savings for customers in key retail sectors, has announced a
data-driven approach to energy management.

The company has developed a series of sector-specific
best practices and packages which have demonstrated predictable savings and
ROI, while supporting other sustainability goals.

Through continued data capture, analysis and smart
algorithms, the GridPoint Energy Management System (EMS) delivers on
planned savings over time, uncovers previously hidden energy and operational
savings opportunities, helps inform facility design, and guide capital
utilization.

With strained facility management resources, retailers
commonly struggle to maintain a lasting reduction in energy and operational costs.

The EMS delivers 20-24 percent savings for general
merchandisers, 10-15 percent for restaurants, 15-20 percent for convenience
stores and up to 10 percent for grocery stores.

GridPoint’s EMS solution combines GridPoint Energy
Manager, a SaaS-based facility networking platform that captures and stores
near real-time information about facility environments, with innovative
hardware and world class services.

In addition, the solutions are designed to easily
integrate with existing energy and building management platforms to best
leverage existing investments. GridPoint solutions give facility managers easy
access to critical information, leading to effective, timely, and cost-saving
actions.

“As customer facility environments become more
complex, EMS solutions must keep pace. Today’s leading retailers entrust
GridPoint to tackle their energy challenges with an EMS based on sophisticated
software, extensible hardware, and the right package of services,” said
GridPoint CEO John Spirtos.
