Sany India, a leading manufacturing company of construction equipment, announced the appointment of Dr. Govind Bhagwatikar as business head for their Renewable Energy BU in India.
The appointment affirms the company’s growing focus on renewable energy. Recently the company signed the Green Energy Commitment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi towards development of 2000 Mega-Watt of Renewable Energy Projects with investments of USD 3 Billion (Rs. 20,000 crores) for the period 2016-20.
Dr. Bhagwatikar has over 20 years of experience in the Grid connected Wind & Solar Energy and Power sector. Prior to joining Sany, he was associated with with Vestas, BP, Siemens and Welspun Renewables and played a key role in the growth through turnkey projects, greenfield development, re-powering, bidding and technology acquisition in wind and solar energy

Sany India has three business verticals in India. Sanjay Saxena heads the Heavy Equipment Division; Dheeraj Panda is the head of Excavator while Govind Bhagwatikar is now the head of Renewable Energy Business.
