SolaREIT has bought land for the 112 MW DC Gum Swamp Solar project in North Carolina. The project, developed by Headwater Energy, will power 17,000 households annually. DartSolar Creates 2,000-Watt Solar Roof Rack to Charge EVs
DartSolar has created a 2,000-watt solar roof rack. This roof rack can charge an electric vehicle (EV) up to 40 miles per day. It can be installed on any vehicle with a roof rack and charge the EV while driving. DartSolar is working to make the roof rack able to generate 3,000 watts by 2027. Customers can buy the system or use financing to make it more affordable.
LeFrak Completes NJ’s Largest Solar Panel Installation on High-Rise
LeFrak has completed a large solar panel installation on a high-rise in New Jersey. The 180kW system on The Beach building in Jersey City will offset 13 percent of the building’s carbon emissions. This is part of LeFrak’s efforts to reduce energy use. The installation will lower energy consumption in the building’s common areas. Colombian President Celebrates First Solar Power Plant at Oil Refinery
Colombian President Gustavo Petro visited the Cartagena refinery to sign a JA Solar module, marking the completion of a 23MW PV project. This is the first PV project at an oil refinery in Latin America. The project, developed by PowerChina and powered by JA Solar modules, helps integrate renewable energy into industrial sites.
