Cerulean Winds Expands Floating Wind Team for Scottish Projects

Cerulean Winds has strengthened its team for the Aspen floating offshore wind project by appointing Ocean Installer as a key partner. Ocean Installer, a marine construction and operations provider, will contribute engineering expertise and installation services for mooring systems, inter-array cables, and marshalling of floating units during fabrication, tow-out, and hook-up phases. This collaboration aims to reduce installation costs and enhance efficiency in the floating wind sector. The Aspen project, located in the Central North Sea, is part of Cerulean’s broader initiative to develop over 3 GW of floating wind capacity in the UK.

Cummins Launches Advanced Battery Energy Storage Systems in UAE

Cummins Arabia and Cummins Middle East introduced Cummins’ next-generation Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in Dubai. The launch event showcased BESS solutions designed to deliver reliable, scalable, and sustainable power for various applications, including commercial, industrial, and utility sectors. These systems support energy transition goals by enabling renewable energy integration and grid stability. With modular design and advanced technology, BESS offers enhanced energy efficiency.

Huasun’s Kunlun HJT Modules Achieve Near-100 percent Bifaciality in Vertical PV Applications

Huasun Energy has introduced its Kunlun G12-132 heterojunction (HJT) solar modules, optimized for vertical photovoltaic (PV) installations. These modules deliver up to 720 W of power with efficiencies reaching 23.2 percent and feature near-100 percent bifaciality, enabling dual-peak energy generation by capturing sunlight from both sides. The steel-framed design enhances mechanical strength, while the vertical orientation reduces snow and dust accumulation, lowering maintenance costs. In a German project, these modules increased operating hours by 7.91 percent, saved 10 hectares of land, and reduced balance-of-system costs by 1.92 percent, demonstrating improved land use and energy output.

Indexel Engineering Partners with UNIGRID to Introduce 50 MWh of Sodium-Ion Batteries to India

Indexel Engineering has partnered with U.S.-based UNIGRID to deploy 50 MWh of advanced sodium-ion battery storage systems in India. Unlike lithium-ion batteries, these sodium-ion systems are non-flammable, perform efficiently in extreme temperatures, and utilize abundant raw materials, making them a safer, more cost-effective, and sustainable solution for India’s energy storage needs. Initial installations are scheduled to begin in the second half of 2025, focusing on regions like Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Maharashtra. This collaboration aims to enhance India’s energy storage infrastructure with safer and more sustainable solutions.

ADS-TEC Energy to Deploy Fast Chargers in Belgium with HyperFast

ADS-TEC Energy has secured a key order from HyperFast, a unit of Belgium’s Energy Solutions Group, to deploy over 12 ChargePost battery-based fast-charging systems across the country. These units provide ultra-fast 300 kW charging without needing expensive grid upgrades. They include integrated battery storage and large 75-inch screens for digital advertising. The chargers will be part of the MobilityPlus network and support roaming for EV users. The solution enables energy trading and grid balancing, offering new revenue streams while boosting EV charging infrastructure in Belgium.

Tigo Energy Integrates Smart Heating into EI Residential Ecosystem

Tigo Energy has unveiled its latest innovation, the GO Junction, expanding its EI Residential solar and storage ecosystem to include smart heating integration. This development enables seamless management of photovoltaic (PV) generation, energy storage, and home heating systems, particularly third-party heat pumps, through Tigo’s Energy Intelligence software platform. The integration aims to enhance energy efficiency and self-consumption, addressing the growing demand for comprehensive residential energy solutions.
