Key Capture Energy Completes 200 MW Battery Storage Projects in Texas

Key Capture Energy (KCE) finished two 100MW battery storage projects in Texas, increasing its total capacity to over 620MW in the U.S. The projects are located in the ERCOT region and will help stabilize the grid during high-demand periods. KCE used Investment Tax Credits to fund further development in energy storage solutions.

Schneider Electric and The Mobility House Partner on EV Fleet Charging

Schneider Electric and The Mobility House teamed up to provide smart charging solutions for electric vehicle (EV) fleets. The goal is to improve energy use and reduce grid strain. The companies are working on projects that help manage energy more efficiently, with one example being a project in Montgomery County, Maryland, that integrates EV charging with a microgrid system.

Convergent Energy and Power Gets DOE Loan for Puerto Rico Projects

Convergent Energy and Power received a 584.5 million dollars loan from the U.S. Department of Energy to build solar and battery storage systems in Puerto Rico. Constellation to Acquire Calpine, Becoming U.S. Leader in Clean Energy

Constellation will acquire Calpine for 16.4 billion dollars, making Constellation the largest clean energy producer in the U.S. The acquisition will add Calpine’s natural gas and geothermal assets, boosting Constellation’s clean energy supply. The combined company will serve 2.5 million customers and offer various energy products. With nearly 60 gigawatts of energy capacity from nuclear, natural gas, geothermal, wind, and solar sources, the acquisition will support new investments in clean energy technologies.

Apex Announces REC Agreement for Heritage Wind Project

Apex Clean Energy has signed a REC agreement with the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority for the 126 MW Heritage Wind project in Orleans County, New York. The wind farm will power 32,000 homes and support New York’s goal of a carbon-free electricity grid by 2040. The project will also create jobs and bring economic benefits to the local community. Heritage Wind will begin operations in 2026.
