Ideal GreenTech, a part of the Ideal Group and provider of green energy solutions in Sri Lanka, is launching green revolution in the island.

The company has partnered with Chinese solar PV supplier ReneSola for PV modules, inverters and hardware, as wells as for the supply of a complete range of LED lighting. In addition, Ideal GreenTech has also partnered with Mahindra Reva for Sri Lanka’s first ever brand new electric vehicle, the e2o.

Nalin Welgama, Group chairman, said there is a need for cheaper or ostensibly self-produced power, using renewable resources in Sri Lanka.

“Sri Lanka’s power sector is facing a host of issues that are resulting in ever increasing costs of electricity. Consumers are burdened with high energy costs primarily due to our dependence on foreign oil and coal for thermal power plants,” said Welgama.

“There is a country-wide need for the provision of cheaper or ostensibly ‘self-produced’ power, using renewable resources. In this context, Ideal Greentech, the latest addition to the Ideal Group of Company’s vision, is to start an Ideal green revolution,” Welgama added.

“So far, we have partnered with ReneSola for the supply of PV modules, inverters and hardware, as well as the supply of a complete range of LED lighting. We have also joined forces together with Mahindra Reva for Sri Lanka’s first ever brand new electric vehicle, the e2o”, said Deputy Chairman of Ideal Group, Aravinda de Silva.

ReneSola  is a tier 1 Chinese solar panel manufacturer who caters solely to the export market and is Number Five in the world when it comes to panel quality.

The partnership will deliver cutting edge solar energy solutions to customers with panels available in easily expandable blocks of 30, 60, 90 or 120 kW. Since every panel is independent of each other, efficiency is increased by 25 percent, Ideal Group said.

Ideal GreenTech will be offering a wide range of services such as feasibility studies, design, project management and training on product usage.  The company has recruited a team of energetic individuals who are constantly pushing boundaries in order to lead new, disruptive technologies in Sri Lanka.
