Cree introduces XQ-E High Intensity LEDs

LED lighting maker Cree has introduced XLamp XQ-E High Intensity LEDs. According to a statement, it is the first family of color LEDs of the industry optimized for optical performance.

The LEDs have been built on the SC5 Technology Platform of Cree. The LEDs are available in white, red, red-orange, PC amber, green, blue and royal blue.

The statement adds that the new product features primary optic design which radically reduces optical source size by more than 50 percent to “deliver the industry’s best optical control”.

The XQ-E High Intensity White is available in color temperatures ranging from 2700K to 6200K and color rendering index (CRI) options of 70, 80 and 90, according to the statement.
