Trinasolar Completes Module Supply for 126 MW Sarimay Solar Plant in Uzbekistan
The 126 MW Sarimay Solar project in Uzbekistan’s Khorezm region has reached full commissioning using 184,328 Trinasolar Vertex N 695 W modules. Construction began in May 2024, while the plant generated its first electricity in November 2025. A 3-km transmission line connects the site to Uzbekistan’s national grid. Spanning around 180 hectares, Sarimay is expected to produce roughly 252 GWh annually, enough electricity for about 60,000 residents, while avoiding more than 140,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year. The project uses n-type i-TOPCon bifacial dual-glass technology and operates under a 25-year framework, while Trinasolar provides a 30-year module power warranty.
Albuquerque Starts 6 MW Solar Rollout Across Eight Municipal Sites
The City of Albuquerque, Sustainability Partners and Energy Systems Group have started construction on an approximately 6 MW municipal solar programme spanning eight facilities. Groundbreaking has begun at the Eastside Animal Shelter and Highland Pool, with remaining installations scheduled to phase in through 2027. The projects are intended to close Albuquerque’s remaining gap toward 100 percent renewable electricity for municipal operations. Sustainability Partners is providing the capital and managing deployment and long-term asset care under an Infrastructure-as-a-Service model. Rather than paying the full capital cost upfront, the city will make monthly usage payments after the systems enter service. The programme is Sustainability Partners’ first major infrastructure project with Albuquerque.
MCatalysis Raises $5 Million to Build Low-Carbon Fuels Pilot Plant in France
MCatalysis has closed a $5 million seed funding round to commercialize technology that converts offgas, plastics and biomass into lower-carbon drop-in fuels. The financing was led by HL Energy Ventures and Oxford Science Enterprises, alongside a recent $2.25 million UK Research and Innovation award. MCatalysis plans to build an industrial pilot plant at the Axel’One platform in Lyon, France, while retaining its R&D operations in London. Its process uses proprietary microwave-driven catalysts designed to reduce the high temperatures, energy consumption and multi-stage processing associated with conventional synthetic-fuel production. The company says its objective is to produce fuels compatible with existing infrastructure at costs below conventional commodity alternatives rather than relying on subsidies.
