PVFARM Launches Solar + Storage Platform to Evaluate Thousands of Project Configurations
PVFARM has launched RE PILOT, a utility-scale solar and battery-storage optimisation platform designed to evaluate thousands of project configurations in a single workflow. The software simultaneously analyses PV layout, battery sizing and placement, energy production, project economics, grid constraints and interconnection limits. Users can vary parameters including inverter loading ratio, ground coverage ratio, pitch, racking, modules, inverters, battery capacity and export constraints. PVFARM says development incorporated more than 150 hours of input from specialists at over 60 organisations, while its related RE STACK platform was beta-tested with more than 80 companies. More than half of leading US utility-scale EPC companies are already using PVFARM tools, according to the company. The deployment targets faster early-stage development of solar-plus-storage projects.
Reworld Acquires Three Long Island Recycling Companies to Expand Resource-Recovery Infrastructure
Reworld has acquired Clean & Green Recycling Corporation, ClearFlo Technologies and EnviroTec, creating an integrated Lindenhurst Material Processing Facility on Long Island, New York. The acquisition expands Reworld’s waste processing, transportation, recycling and resource-recovery capabilities and positions the new facility close to four existing Reworld Thermomechanical Treatment Facilities. Transaction value was not disclosed. Clean & Green and its related businesses have operated in the region for around 40 years. Reworld plans to integrate the businesses with its ReDrop wastewater-treatment, ReDirect360 zero-waste-to-landfill and ReMove logistics services. The deal strengthens infrastructure for recovering and reusing materials that would otherwise enter conventional waste streams, although Reworld did not disclose processing capacity, investment value or an expansion timetable.
Perigus Commissions 8.3 MW Wildlife-Friendly Solar Park in Germany
Perigus Energy Deutschland has commissioned an 8.3 MW ground-mounted solar farm at Weiherhof in Sötern, Germany, adding new renewable generation while combining solar development with biodiversity and agricultural land use. The project incorporates fallow deer farming within the solar site, demonstrating an agrivoltaic-style approach in which energy generation and land stewardship operate together. The commissioning is the key new milestone, moving the facility from development and construction into operational status. With 8.3 MW of installed photovoltaic capacity, the plant will contribute additional clean electricity to Germany’s expanding solar fleet while providing Perigus with another operating asset in its domestic portfolio. The project also reflects a broader European trend toward solar developments designed to improve ecological outcomes rather than relying solely on conventional fenced utility-scale layouts.
