Sungrow has been selected to supply advanced solar inverter and battery energy storage technologies for a gigawatt-scale renewable energy project in Abu Dhabi, strengthening the UAE’s clean energy transition and grid reliability goals. The project, developed alongside Masdar and Emirates Water and Electricity Company (EWEC), combines 5.2GW of solar PV capacity with a massive 19GWh battery energy storage system to deliver round-the-clock renewable electricity. Under the agreement, Sungrow will supply 7.5GWh of PowerTitan 3.0 energy storage systems and 2.6GW of PV inverter solutions. The project highlights innovation in liquid-cooled battery storage, grid-forming technology, and high-efficiency power conversion systems designed for extreme desert climates. Gridwiz and LKA Developments have signed a strategic agreement to jointly develop a 100MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) portfolio in Australia’s National Electricity Market (NEM). The initial rollout includes five 20MWh battery sites, with long-term plans to expand the partnership to more than 1GWh of storage capacity. The investment highlights innovation in AI-based battery optimisation, demand response integration, and smart energy trading technologies. Gridwiz will provide advanced energy management systems, trading expertise, and financing support, while LKAD will oversee project development, permitting, EPC management, and operations.
