Pace Charging Group, an electric vehicle infrastructure company, has installed their second electric vehicle charging unit at Mystic Aquarium, New England’s hands-on-aquarium.
The installed unit is a Level II dual port station, capable of charging two cars at the same time at 7.2 kW (208/240 VAC @ 30 A) output each via the standard SAE J1772 connector.
Mystic Aquarium is a division of Sea Research Foundation, whose mission is to inspire people to care for and protect our ocean planet through education, research and exploration.
The charging station is located in the main parking lot at the front entrance to the aquarium at 55 Coogan Boulevard, Mystic, CT, just off of exit 90 on I-95.
Pace Charging Group founder, Ken Fields, said, “The Aquarium and the surrounding Town of Mystic, Connecticut is a much loved and recognized member of the New England community. The Aquarium’s dedication to protecting our oceans and our environment provides a perfect complement to Pace Charging’s mission to help facilitate a cleaner, more sustainable transportation network.”
