LG Energy Solution has been recognized for having the highest battery quality standards in the Chinese market, securing the Battery Quality Award at the 2024 China Automobile Product Quality Research (AQR) awards.
This achievement highlights LG Energy Solution’s commitment to make investment in innovation for ensuring exceptional quality and customer satisfaction, as the company successfully outpaced fierce competition from leading local manufacturers.
The award ceremony, held annually since 2019, is organized by automotive platform Chezhiwang and Automotive Research Consulting Beijing, which assess automotive products and collect consumer feedback.
This year, the awards evaluated 128 electric vehicle (EV) models from 51 brands, with surveys conducted among end consumers to determine the top performers in categories such as batteries, powertrains, electric vehicles, hybrids, and autonomous vehicles.
LG Energy Solution stood out among 18 battery system suppliers, including industry giants like CATL, Everview Lithium Energy, and UFO Battery. The award recognized LG Energy Solution’s ability to address quality issues and user complaints effectively, underscoring the company’s dedication to producing high-quality battery systems that meet the needs of its customers.
Cho Young-yong, Department Leader of the Cylindrical Quality Department at LG Energy Solution Nanjing, and Liu Feng, Deputy Secretary General of China’s National Monitoring and Management Platform for New Energy Vehicles, were present at the awards ceremony to celebrate the company’s achievement.

The company continues to innovate and refine its processes, aiming to deliver top-tier battery systems that set new industry standards for safety, longevity, and performance.
