JinkoSolar announced that it has supplied its high-efficiency Eagle Passivated Emitter Rear Contact (PERC) Modules to the University of New South Wales (UNSW) for one of its rooftop projects.
PERC technology was invented at UNSW, which is also considered as one of the leading solar cell research and development centers in the world.
A number of JinkoSolar’s employees have obtained degrees from UNSW, the company said.
“As a global leader in PV industry, we are proud to be at the forefront of technology by producing highly-efficient products that meet market demand,” said Kangping Chen, CEO, JinkoSolar.
“The selection by UNSW of our PERC products for its first roof top installation demonstrates the quality and reliability of our PERC technology. We are committed to consistently delivering the highest quality, most reliable, high-efficiency solar products,” Chen added.
JinkoSolar has built a vertically integrated solar product value chain, with an integrated annual capacity of 4.5 GW for silicon ingots and wafers, 3.7 GW for solar cells, and 6.5 GW for solar modules, as of September 30, 2016.
