Vestas has revealed that Ox2 has recently made a significant purchase of 27 MW for the Eolia wind park, which will be situated in the Apulia Region of Italy.
This agreement encompasses the procurement and installation of six V150-4.5 MW wind turbines, accompanied by a comprehensive 35-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service contract.
This contract sets a new record as the lengthiest service agreement ever signed by Vestas in Italy, demonstrating the company’s ability to maximize the lifetime performance and enhance the business prospects of its customers in one of Europe’s largest wind markets. Vestas achieves this by leveraging its exceptional service capabilities.
The delivery of the turbines is projected to occur in the first half of 2024, with commissioning scheduled for the latter half of the same year, Vestas, one of the leading wind turbine makers, said.
This order serves to reinforce Vestas’ prominent position in Italy’s wind energy sector, where the company has successfully installed over 5.1 GW of capacity since 1991.
