Wind turbine manufacturer Vestas has appointed Ericsson executive Nils de Baar as group senior vice president (SVP) and president of Vestas Central Europe. De Baar begins his tenure from September 1.

At Ericsson, de Baar was vice president and head of global customer accounts. He was based out of the headquarters of the company in Stockholm.
In the current profile de Baar will be working at the Central Europe headquarters of Vestas in Hamburg, Germany.
According to a statement, de Baar succeeds Christoph Vogel, who had held the post since June 2014. Vogel decided to leave Vestas for personal reasons.
