Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) announced changes in top management as part of its strategy to run cost-effective business operations.
Ricardo Chocarro, the CEO of the Onshore Business Unit, will leave the company after 19 years.
Mark Albenze will serve as CEO of the Onshore Business Unit — in the interim — in addition to his role as CEO of the Service Business Unit.
Miguel Angel Lopez, CFO of Siemens Gamesa, will be non-executive chairman of the Board of Directors. He will succeed Rosa who has decided to leave the Siemens group and seek new challenges after seven years.
David Mesonero will be the new CFO of the company. As head of Corporate Development, Strategy and Integration he managed the integration of the company and contributed to the development of its strategic plan.
Siemens Gamesa will appoint a chief operating officer (COO) to drive efficiency across the businesses by combining procurement, productivity controlling & management, governance and processes shortly.
