Nordex receives 64.2 MW wind turbine contract from Turkey

Nordex, wind turbine manufacturers, has received a total of 64.2 MW wind turbine installation project for Odemis wind farm in Turkey on three different contracts for its N117/2400 and the N117/3000 model.

The company has signed a deal for the supply of seven N117/3000 Generation Delta wind turbines to Erdem firm. A five year long premium-service contract is also included in the agreement.

Odemis is the first wind farm project committed by Erdem group. The N117/3000 will be installed with a hub height of 91 metres. The rotor blades, towers and anchor cages, are acquired from local Turkey companies so that Erdem can claim a higher feed-in tariff for the project.

In the second contract, Edincik wind farm located at Marmara Sea, as part of their expansion process of existing 30MW to 56.4 MW has ordered eleven Nordex N117/2400 turbines designed for light wind sites. This is the second project of Edincik Enerji with Nordex. The contract includes premium service agreement for six years also.

The third contract is for 25 MW Bandirma III wind farm extension of the customer Bursa Temiz Enerji. Nordex will supply seven N117/2400 turbines for the expansion purpose to 41.8 MW. This will be the second wind farm project from Bursa Temiz Enerji with Nordex.
