this year.

GE to supply 137 of its 1.6-100 wind turbines to DTE Energy

GE is supplying 137 wind turbines to DTE Energy, a Detroit-based
diversified energy company, for wind projects in Lower Michigan. With a total
capacity of 220 megawatts of clean energy, the projects support Michigan’s
renewable portfolio standard (RPS), which mandates the state to produce 10
percent of its power from renewable sources by 2015.

Iowa communities purchase GE Wind Turbines

A wind initiative group has purchased eight GE wind
turbines to power a 12.6-megawatt (MW) community wind initiative in rural
southwestern Iowa. The group consists of 180 community members who each bought
shares in the units. The wind initiative group has purchased two GE 1.5-MW
turbines and six 1.6-82.5 wind turbines.

GE to install more than 1500 units 1.6-100 wind turbine
globally by next year

GE has committed to provide its 1.6-100 wind turbine for
projects that will add 1.8 gigawatts of capacity to the world’s clean energy supply
by end of 2012. GE has received orders for the 1.6-100, from North America,
have totaled $3.6 billion since its introduction a year ago. GE estimated that

GE launches Production-Based O&M concept for wind power
industry

GE launched “Production-Based O&M”, a new
concept in operations and maintenance (O&M) agreements at the American Wind
Energy Association’s WINDPOWER 2012. The new agreement further expands its
portfolio of services for the wind industry and aligns the goals of GE and the
customer to maximize energy yield from the site.

Since GE entered the wind industry it has installed
18,000 wind turbines and has built the business from 500 megawatts to
28 gigawatts of installed capacity. This year, GE expects its wind turbine
installed base to exceed 20,000 worldwide
