Vestas, a leading wind turbine manufacturer, has clinched a significant deal from UAB Vejoteka, a subsidiary of Enefit Green, for the Kelme II wind farm initiative in Lithuania.
The order entails the supply, delivery, and commissioning of 14 V162-6.2 MW wind turbines. Upon installation, Vestas will oversee the maintenance of these turbines for an extensive 35-year period under the Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement. This agreement aims to ensure optimal performance and functionality of the wind farm assets.
Jens Pinderup, Vice President Sales East at Vestas NCE, expressed satisfaction with the expanding collaboration between Vestas and Enefit Green in the Baltic states.
Enefit Green Board Member, Andres Maasing, echoed the sentiment, expressing delight in collaborating with Vestas on the Kelme II project following their successful partnership on the 21 MW Purtse wind farm in Estonia earlier this year.
Andres Maasing emphasized the suitability of Vestas’ EnVentus wind turbine for the Kelme II wind farm and expressed hopes for continued utilization of Vestas technologies in their future development projects across the Baltics and Poland.
The delivery of the turbines is slated to commence in the first quarter of 2025, with commissioning expected to finalize by the third quarter of the same year.
Enefit Green’s production units are located in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland. In addition, Enefit Green has a development project in Finland. Enefit Green has a total of 23 wind parks, 40 solar power parks, four CHP plants, a pellet plant and a hydroelectric power plant.
