BayWa r.e Selects Vestas for Dollenkamp Wind Project in Germany

Vestas, a wind turbine manufacturer, has signed an agreement with BayWa r.e. for the Dollenkamp project situated in Brakel, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.

This arrangement encompasses the supply, delivery, and commissioning of eight V162-5.6 MW wind turbines. Upon the project’s conclusion, Vestas will manage the servicing of these turbines for a period of 20 years under the Active Output Management 4000 (AOM 4000) service agreement. The objective behind this agreement is to ensure the optimal performance and functionality of the assets.

Sulai Fahimi, Vice President Sales Central Europe at Vestas, expressed enthusiasm about this new venture with BayWa r.e., emphasizing their shared commitment to a sustainable future.

Marie-Luise Portner, Managing Director of BayWa r.e. Wind GmbH, echoed the sentiment, highlighting the long-standing collaboration between BayWa r.e. and Vestas.

The delivery of the wind turbines from Vestas is projected to commence in the second quarter of 2025, with commissioning slated for completion by the fourth quarter of the same year.
