Trina Solar has secured an agreement to supply 48 MW of solar modules to ACME Cleantech Solutions (ACME).

According to the agreement, around 188,000 pieces of Honey modules TSM-PC05A will be installed on two ground-mounted solar power plants in India.

The shipment of modules is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2015. The installations will provide an annual output of 81.6 GWh.

Through this deal, the total sales of solar modules to ACME will become 70 MW in 2015 to date.

More details on the project to be developed by ACME in India have not been received including the cost of the project.

ACME began its partnership with Trina Solar in 2013. The company has pioneered solar power development in India and has commissioned the First Solar Thermal Power project based on Tower Technology in Asia.

Recently, Trina Solar ’s State Key Laboratory Testing Center received the Power Measurement Uncertainty Assessment Service (UAS) Certificate from TUV Rheinland.

The Testing Center is the first one in the solar industry to receive this kind of certification. The certification validates the accuracy of on-site power measurements recorded at the Testing Center.

All products assessed by the Center will carry a TUV Rheinland certification mark from now on.

Trina Solar received this Certificate after seven months of continuous tracking, identifying key influencing factors, technique optimization and rigorous on-site training.

In another development, Trina Solar signed a framework investment agreement with PingAn Trust and Jiangsu Jiuzhou Investment to jointly develop PV plants in China.

According to the agreement, the JV venture will develop a total PV solar capacity of 500 MW-1,000 MW over the next three years in the country.

The Investors can enter into convertible loan arrangements with Trina Solar and also can convert the loans into minority stake in the project companies at pre-determined time.

Besides, the investors are also entitled to participate in the capital operation of the holding vehicle in the future.
