Trina Solar’s International Systems Business Unit (ISBU) signed a 15-year PPA with EGO, an energy management company owned by Shell Group, for 9 solar projects in Italy, totaling 69 MWp.
Projects to create 1,000 jobs: The projects, located across 9 Italian regions, are under construction or set to begin in 2024-2025 and are expected to generate 1,000 jobs nationally.
119 GWh annual energy production: Once operational, the projects will produce 119 GWh of renewable energy per year, enough to power 7,000 average-sized households. Financial details were not disclosed.
Supporting Italy’s renewable energy goals: The partnership contributes to Italy’s target of generating 65 percent of its electricity from renewable sources by 2030.
