Trina Solar, a global leader in the solar energy industry, has announced impressive financial results and technological advancements in its latest report for the first three quarters of 2023.
Trina Solar has reported a robust revenue of $11.58 billion (RMB 81.12 billion) during this period, marking a substantial 31.22 percent increase compared to the corresponding period in the previous year.
Trina Solar’s sustained growth is underscored by its position as an industry leader in module shipments, with an impressive 45-46GW delivered, securing the company’s second place globally. Additionally, the company achieved 5.6GW in deliveries of solar trackers and fixed tilt racks for the first three quarters, further reinforcing its strong market presence.
One of the key highlights of the report is Trina Solar’s cumulative shipment of 210mm modules, which exceeded a remarkable 90GW as of Q3 2023, securing the company’s position as the global leader in this category.
Furthermore, by the end of October, Trina Solar achieved cumulative shipments exceeding 15GW of its 210R modules. This exceptional achievement demonstrates the company’s unwavering commitment to innovation and technological advancement.
Trina Solar attributes its ongoing success and growth to several key factors, including its cutting-edge n-type i-TOPCon Advanced technology, the introduction of Vertex N modules, a vertical n-type capacity layout, and the development of integrated photovoltaic (PV) and energy storage solutions.
In August, the company made a significant stride by leading the industry into the PV 7.0 era with the mass production of Vertex N 700W modules. These high-performance modules have found applications in various settings worldwide. This has further fueled the momentum for green development.
In mid-October, Trina Solar achieved mass production of its 10GW Vertex N 610W modules and 10GW n-type i-TOPCon cells at its Huai’an base. This expansion in production capacity ensures a seamless supply of n-type modules and caters to the growing demand for vertical n-type integration.
Trina Solar’s commitment to innovation extends to energy storage solutions, exemplified by the unveiling of the Elementa 2 utility-scale battery system in October. This strategic move solidifies the company’s position as a one-stop provider for integrated PV and energy storage solutions. TrinaStorage’s vertically integrated production capacity, including Trinacell, battery racks, and battery cabinets, ensures high reliability and safety of its products.
Notably, TrinaTracker, a subsidiary of Trina Solar, continues to invest significantly in the development of its product line, aimed at meeting the evolving requirements of solar trackers for various application scenarios. These include complex terrains, frigid climates, high winds, and sandstorms. TrinaTracker’s updated smart control system, which includes electronic control equipment, smart algorithms, and software platforms, further enhances power generation and operational and maintenance efficiency.
As a pioneering force in the solar industry, Trina Solar remains committed to leading the way with its innovative technologies and solutions. The company’s focus on n-type i-TOPCon Advanced technology, integrated production capacity, Vertex N product portfolio, and integrated solar-energy storage solutions underscores its dedication to facilitating the transformation of new power systems for a net-zero future.
