products consisting Solar Charge Controller and Solar Lantern.
The company claims that the new series of solar products
is an ideal low cost resolution for rural home lighting requirements.

Luminous new solar lantern
requires minimal maintenance and provides upto 10 Hrs backup on highest
intensity and upto 16 Hrs on low intensity and that too just in one recharge.
The solar lantern features 4 step intensity control, micro controller based
design and mobile charging options. The lantern also has the option to charge
directly from mains.
The Solar Charge Controller comes with automatic
Selection of 12/24 V batteries and provides upto 98 percent efficiency. The
Solar Charge Controller’s Pulse Width Modulation Technology reduces the
dependency on the batteries. The company also offers an option to select lead
acid or SMF battery.
Equipped with inbuilt electronic short circuit
protection, making it completely safe for usage, the Controller has an in-built
load controller with Low voltage disconnect feature which ensures the safety of
the attached batteries.
Luminous is all geared up to start IVR services as well
for the farmers, starting with Uttar Pradesh, educating them regarding the
solar offerings of the company. This activity will benefit 2 lakh farmers,
wherein they will be directly contacted and educated regarding the product
offerings of the company.
