JCM Capital teams with Panasonic for Solar Energy Financing and EPC Program in Ontario, Canada

By Greentech Lead America: JCM Capital has signed an
agreement with Panasonic Eco Solutions Canada, an affiliate of Panasonic
Corporation of North America, to combine JCM’s financial network expertise with
Panasonic’s bankable solar products and services. JCM will provide initial
$10,000,000 development capital fund with Panasonic’s construction financing
and expertise.

Through this agreement, JCM and Panasonic will
provide the Ontario solar market with a scalable end-to-end financial and
service solution, from application stage to commercial operation date (COD) for
commercial scale photovoltaic (PV) projects and/or their associated portfolios.

“We are pleased to align ourselves with a
world-renowned corporation such as Panasonic and are confident that their
best-in-class PV products and services will provide these associated projects
with the level of quality and expertise necessary to minimize associated short-
and long-term development risks,” said Christian Wray, JCM Capital’s CEO.

“Perhaps most notable, this partnership commemorates
a significant new investment that will now begin to stream into the Province
while supporting hundreds of new, local, and long-term jobs… a clear
indication of the type of economic support the Ontario Power Authority’s
Feed-in-Tariff program was contrived to promote,” added Wray.

The agreement is intended to deploy over 120 MW of
commercial rooftop and ground-mount PV projects across the Province within next
two years. They will initially focus on 5 MW of JCM’s FIT contract equipped
commercial rooftop projects.  Panasonic’s PV modules will be
featured throughout all of the designated projects.

“JCM has a strong presence in the solar community,
and an ability to attract and develop projects. With our new domestically
produced solar panels, Panasonic can offer quality modules in conjunction with
our project expertise to better serve our partners,” said Walter Buzzelli,
managing director, Panasonic Eco Solutions Canada.

Panasonic Eco Solutions Canada launches new solar PV module
product line

Recently, Panasonic Eco Solutions Canada developed a new
solar photovoltaic module product line, the SCI Series. The new product meets
domestic content requirements under the Ontario Feed-In-Tariff (FIT) incentives
program. The SCI Series is available in four different models including 60-cell
and 72-cell polycrystalline modules, and 60-cell and
72-cell monocrystalline modules.
