JA Solar Holdings announced that it supplied all solar modules to South Australian Water Corporation (SA Water) for its 4.14MW coastal photovoltaic project.

The project is part of SA Water’s efforts to achieve zero net electricity costs in Australia.

SA Water operates more than 27,000 kilometers of water supply pipelines and provides water services to over 1.7 million customers across South Australia. SA Water has some of the highest energy consumption in the state.

SA Water will use JA Solar’s PV modules in the photovoltaic power plants including SA Water’s Hope Valley Water Treatment Plant, Glenelg Wastewater Treatment Plant, and Christies Beach Wastewater Treatment Plant.

Enerven Energy, a subsidiary of SA Power Networks, is constructing the project.
