JA Solar has received JISQ 8901 Certification from TÜV Rheinland in Japan.

The certification complements the JET and JPEC certifications JA Solar obtained in Japan previously.

The JIS Q 8901 standard aims to encourage the wider adoption of photovoltaic power generation in the Japanese market through an assurance system encompassing the design, production and product warranty of modules.

“Passing the stringent reviews and receiving the JIS Q 8901 certification is a further demonstration of the superior quality of JA Solar modules and customer service system,” said Yong Liu, JA Solar’s chief operating officer.

“This certification gives our Japanese customers further assurance that JA Solar modules will deliver reliable performance and ensure the return on their investment. We anticipate our compliance with the standard will further strengthen our leadership position in the Japanese market,” Liu added.

Recently JA Solar has also been selected to supply 7.8 MW of its high-efficiency full square mono solar modules to British Solar Renewables, a U.K.-based developer of large-scale renewable projects, for use on a 7.8MW solar farm in the south-western United Kingdom.

Shipments of the JAM6R 270W P-Type modules in a 60-cell format are expected to be completed during the first quarter of 2014.
