JA Solar has globally launched its new 1500V PV modules in February 2015, featuring them at the PV Expo in Japan.

The JA 1500V PV module is presented with a proven performance having IEC standard for their system voltage bias, passing the strict PID test under standard conditions.

This performance is tested and certified by TUV, whereas the current IEC industry standard for maximum system voltage is 1000V of system voltage bias.

When the maximum system voltage is raised to 1500V, a potential increase of up to 50 percent is experienced in string length, which eventually reduces the costs on the system side.

This trend is predictable for these 1500V systems to be recognized and installed on a global scale.

Last month, JA Solar announced major achievements in the South Pacific market in 2014.

JA Solar supplied modules for several national solar projects in New Zealand, Fiji and Papua New Guinea, receiving good customer feedback for the better performance of its modules.

Most of these solar projects are the first in these regions, creating a pioneering effort for the solar industry development.

The 350KW Auckland Shopping Centre Project is the single largest solar installation in New Zealand so far.

In a recent initiative, JA Solar expanded its solar business in Asia-Pacific region.

The company shipped of 100MW of modules to the first large-scale solar farm in Pakistan.

Located at the Quaid-e-Azam Solar Park in Punjab, the solar farm is a key project of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, an under-construction development program for energy and infrastructure projects to connect China to southern Pakistan and develop a new gateway for trade.

In 2014, the company delivered over 100MWp of PV modules to Solarcentury, a UK solar developer and EPC, for use in Solarcentury’s ground-mounted solar projects and large commercial rooftops in the UK.
