Solar power products manufacturer JA Solar has launched mass production of its 60-cell double-glass modules.
According to a statement, the modules have passed reliability tests required by IEC61215 and IEC61730 standards at TUV SUD and have been certified.
The modules with frameless design have 2.5 mm thick, high strength tempered glass encapsulating the photovoltaic cells.
The design adds to durability and reliability of the modules, the statement says.
Also, the modules are rendered weather proof in extreme environments and are subjected to high-temperature, high-humidity, wind, salt, or arid conditions.
According to the statement, the modules designed in accordance with IEC standards for 1,500V systems are being backed by performance warranty of 30 years.
The warranty covers 2.5 percent power degradation in the first year followed by a linear annual degradation rate of 0.5 percent.
Even outside warranty the modules are capable of retaining 85 percent of its initial rated power, the statement has added.
