Greenskies Renewable Energy, a Connecticut-based solar integrator, has procured a $165 million financial package to finance its 127 solar energy projects to be constructed across 12 states.

The projects, stretching from Maine to California, received the funding from First Niagara Financial Group.

The projects will collectively generate a total of 85 gigawatt hours (GWh) of electricity each year, the company said.

The deal represents the sixth round of financing Greenskies has completed with First Niagara since 2012.

The new financing vehicle will help the company leverage additional capital and accelerate the distribution of green renewable energy throughout not only New England, but the entire nation, said Peter J. Thomas, vice president and senior relationship manager at the bank.
