Canadian Solar to supply 12.6 MW solar modules for Turkey

Canadian Solar, providers of solar power technologies signed a deal to supply 12.6MW of photovoltaic (PV) modules to Kayseri Organized Industry Zone (KOIZ) and a consortium of companies in KOIZ, for a solar power project located in Kayseri, Turkey.

Dr. Shawn Qu, chairman, CEO, Canadian Solar said, “This is the second deal with KOIZ group for whom 2.2MW of solar modules were supplied last year. This deal will help to solidify company’s presence and competitive position in Turkey, highlighting the position as a tier 1 solar module supplier providing quality solar modules to various projects all over.”

Canadian Solar will supply its 60 cell CS6P255P and CS6P260P modules with power output respectively of 255Wp and 260Wp for the project. The Company’s 255Wp and 260Wp CS6P-P modules produce around five percent more power according to PVsyst PV system simulation annually.
