Canadian Solar bags solar panel contract for Southgate facility

Canadian Solar Ontario project

Canadian Solar Solutions has bagged contracts to supply 50 MW AC of MaxPower CS6X Ontario-made solar panels and 30 medium voltage power stations for the Southgate Solar facility.

Samsung Renewable Energy and Connor, Clark & Lunn Infrastructure are developing this solar project in the Township of Southgate, County of Grey, Ontario.

The power plant is expected to produce approximately 86,500 MWh of electricity per year. It will also contribute to a greener environment by displacing approximately 70,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually over the 20-year period of the power purchase agreement with the IESO.
