Arevon Energy, a leading renewable energy developer, has started construction on its 192 megawatt (MWdc) Ratts 1 Solar Project near Petersburg in Pike County, Indiana. The project, which will generate enough electricity to power approximately 24,000 homes, marks a significant step forward in Indiana’s clean energy initiatives.

In addition to Ratts 1 Solar, Arevon is advancing the nearby 73 MWdc Heirloom Solar Project. Together, these two projects represent nearly $400 million in investment and are expected to contribute more than $86 million to local government coffers over their operational lifespans. The projects will create around 200 full-time equivalent jobs during construction.

Arevon’s expansion in the Midwest continues with the recent announcement of a $352 million financing package for the 228 MWdc Posey Solar Project, also in Indiana. Construction on Posey Solar began in May, and the company plans to announce another utility-scale project in the state in the coming weeks.
