L&T Bags Order for 116 MW Solar Project with 241 MWh BESS in Bihar

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has secured a substantial order, valued between ₹1,000 crore and ₹2,500 crore, to develop a 116 MW solar power plant integrated with a 241 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at Lakhisarai, Bihar. Awarded by a state utility under a competitive bidding process, the project aims to enhance renewable energy capacity while ensuring round-the-clock power availability through energy storage. L&T’s scope includes engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC), as well as commissioning and integration of advanced battery systems.

Dominion Energy to Install Solar Array at Richmond Ballpark

Dominion Energy is set to install a rooftop solar system at The Diamond baseball stadium in Richmond, Virginia, home of the Richmond Flying Squirrels. The 95-kW installation will consist of approximately 215 panels and is expected to generate around 125,000 kWh of clean electricity annually — enough to power 10 average homes. This initiative is part of Dominion’s BrightSuite program, promoting renewable energy adoption across Virginia. The solar array will help offset a portion of the ballpark’s energy use, contributing to sustainability goals while raising public awareness about clean energy.

MET Group Commissions Its First Solar Park in Germany

Swiss-based MET Group has commissioned its first solar power plant in Germany, marking a key milestone in its European renewable energy expansion. Located in Eastern Germany, the 11 MW project will produce approximately 13 GWh of electricity annually—enough to supply over 3,600 households. The solar park is fully merchant-based, selling electricity directly into the market without subsidies, reflecting MET’s strategy of competitive clean energy delivery. The project was developed, built, and will be operated by MET’s German renewables subsidiary.

NextEnergy Capital Acquires 73 MW Agri-PV Project in Italy

NextEnergy Capital, through its fund NextPower III ESG, has acquired a 73 MW agri-photovoltaic (Agri-PV) project in Italy’s Lazio region. The project combines solar energy production with sustainable agricultural activity, supporting dual land use. Currently under development, the plant is expected to become operational in 2026 and will generate enough clean electricity to power approximately 50,000 households annually. NextPower III ESG now has over 1.4 GW of projects in operation, construction, or development across OECD countries.
