EDF and Aukera Sign PPA for 84.5 MW Solar-Battery Project in Scotland

EDF has entered into a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) with Aukera to offtake 100% of the renewable energy generated from the Benthead Solar Farm in North Ayrshire, Scotland. This co-located project combines 54.5 MW of solar photovoltaic capacity with a 30 MW, two-hour duration battery energy storage system. The agreement ensures a stable revenue stream for Aukera and supports EDF’s commitment to integrating renewable energy into the grid. The Benthead project is part of Aukera’s broader UK portfolio, which includes five solar PV projects totaling 220 MWp, all expected to be operational by the end of 2026 .

NextEra Energy Resources Switches On 100 MW Solar Project in Louisiana

NextEra Energy Resources has launched its first utility-scale solar facility in Louisiana — the 100 MW Amite Solar Energy Center in Tangipahoa Parish. Operational since March 2025, the project is expected to power thousands of homes. Developed with DEMCO under a 25-year fixed-price PPA, it ensures stable energy rates and supports the state’s clean energy goals. Construction created 200 jobs and involved local vendors. Over 30 years, the facility will contribute about $16 million in tax revenue to support public services, marking a major renewable milestone for the region.

Audax Renovables Expands Residential Solar in Spain, Exits Select Italian Projects

Audax Renovables has added 112 MWp of residential solar capacity in Spain, reinforcing its presence in the self-consumption segment. This growth aligns with Spain’s broader solar expansion. At the same time, Audax is exiting certain Italian projects to focus on more favorable markets. The company maintains a diversified renewable pipeline of over 2,000 MWp across Spain, Portugal, and Italy. This strategic move strengthens Audax’s position in core regions while adapting its portfolio to changing regulatory and market conditions.
