Laptop Power UK, distributor of electronics spare parts has entered into a two year agreement with DS Smith to recycle around 50 tons of cardboard material and paper produced during spare parts production every year.

Laptop Power UK wanted to recycle their paper and cardboard produced from business operations and they have now partnered with DS Smith with this purpose.

The cardboard is from the packaging used to pack up electrical spare parts and also the protective covers of laptops and tablets. The cardboard is of high, dense quality, resulting in considerable yields.

Craig Alexander, representative, Laptop Power UK, said, “Getting rebates for this flow of cardboard has followed straight through down to the bottom line. Company is generating significant revenue from these materials while keeping compliant with the recycling responsibilities.”

With the continuing growth of repair volumes and part distribution volumes, Laptop Power UK expects the recycling measure to exceed 80 tons by the end of 2015.
