Coulomb Solutions Introduces Long-Life Battery Packs
Coulomb Solutions has launched its new Super Long Life (SLL) battery systems for commercial vehicles. These battery packs come with a 900,000-mile, 15-year warranty and are designed by CATL for buses, delivery vehicles, locomotives, and other applications needing long service life. CSI, CATL’s North American partner, is now accepting orders, with deliveries starting in September. The batteries have a specific energy of 175WH/kg and an energy density of 270WH/L. CSI’s team will assist OEMs in integrating these batteries. The new SLL series is built for commercial trucks, buses, off-road, and marine vehicles.
ZNShine Solar Supplies 50MW Patuca Solar Project in Honduras
ZNShine Solar is supplying its high-efficiency solar modules for the 50MW Patuca Solar Project in Honduras. The project, developed by ENEE and executed by REMESA, is financed by the Central Bank of Honduras. It uses ZNShine’s 12BB PERC Monofacial Double-Glass Modules, chosen for durability, energy efficiency, and wind resistance. The project is set for completion in October 2025 and aims to increase Honduras’ renewable energy capacity.

Onyx Renewables has started a 2.5-megawatt (MW) solar project at an Urbana and Champaign Sanitary District (UCSD) wastewater plant in Illinois. Sol Systems developed the project, and Verde Solutions will handle engineering and construction.The solar system will provide power to UCSD’s southwest plant and generate over 4.1 million kilowatt-hours in its first year. Extra power will be credited to lower costs. Onyx will oversee development, construction, and operation under a long-term agreement.
Mission Solar Energy Expands Solar Cell Manufacturing in Texas
Mission Solar Energy is investing $265 million to expand solar cell manufacturing in San Antonio, Texas. The new facility, set for completion in 2026, will add 2 gigawatts (GW) of production and create 500 jobs.The company will produce solar cells using polysilicon from OCI TerraSus, which uses hydropower for sustainability. Mission Solar completed a factory expansion in May 2024, increasing capacity for solar cell and module production.
